Understand the Basics of Stretching and the evidence of its benefits.
Extensive review of the muscles that innervate the upper extremity, lower extremity, and spine.
Describe the benefit of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF).
Understand the key differences between performing a facilitated stretch vs. other types of stretching.
Effectively perform facilitated stretching for the Upper Extremity
Effectively perform facilitated stretching for the Lower Extremity
Effectively perform facilitated stretching for the Oblique and Lower Back
Effectively perform facilitated stretching for the Torso and Neck
Pass clinical lab exam and written exam for certification as a Facilitated Stretch Therapist.

9:45 am - 10:45 am: Focusing on Facilitated Stretching
10:45 – 11:45 am: The PNF Program
11:45 am – 12:45 pm: Lunch
12:45 pm - 1:45 pm: Neck
1:45 pm – 2:45 pm: Shoulder
2:45 pm – 3:45 am: Elbow, Wrist and Hand
3:45 pm – 4:00 pm: Break
4:00 pm- 4:30 pm: Review/Practice
4:30 pm – 5:00 pm: Practical/Written Exam
5:00 pm: Course completed /Certificate issued
7:30 am - 9:30 am: Understanding the Basics of Stretching
9:30 am - 9:45 am: Break time
9:45 am - 10:45 am: Focusing on Facilitated Stretching
10:45 – 11:45 am: The PNF Program
11:45 am – 12:45 pm: Lunch
12:45 pm – 1:45 pm: Oblique Abdominals and Lower Back
1:45 pm – 2:45 pm: Hip
2:45 pm – 3:45 pm: Knee, Foot, and Ankle
3:45 pm – 4:00 pm: Break
4:00 pm- 4:30 pm: Course Review
4:30 pm – 5:00 pm: Written/Practical Exam5:00 pm: Course completed /Certificate issued
Successful completion of this extensive in person two day training, lab testing, and written testing will result in a Stretch Therapist Certification by Sterling Stretch Therapy as well as Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) from the leading healthcare and fitness organizations from around the world.
